Mad River Taste
Mad River Taste is the local marketing program supporting the makers and growers located in the valleys, the hill farms and mountain forests along the Mad River. Marketing has long been a crucial element missing from the local food movement. Our area producers are skilled farmers and artisans but lack the formal experience and, frankly, the time to properly market their product.
By centralizing the efforts we can spearhead the outreach and education of new customers by creating a recognized mark of quality, along with promotional materials to offload much of the heavy lifting needed to market products both inside and beyond Vermont.
Mad River Taste Place
The Mad River Taste Place is the physical embodiment of our effort to expand the marketing horizons of our makers and growers. As the home for Vermont cheese, the Taste Place is first and foremost an education and tasting experience for all of the excellent products being made in Vermont.
Not only is every Vermont Cheesemaker represented, but cider, beer, meats, and all manner of artisan hand made goods are available to learn about, taste, and purchase. All made in Vermont, all of the highest quality.
The taste place is a great opportunity to get acquainted with Mad River Food Hub customers as almost all of our customers demo and sell their products there.
Vermont Equipment Access Program
Available to food processors incubating at Vermont’s two food hub facilities (Mad River Food Hub and Vermont Food Venture Center), the Vermont Equipment Access Program is designed to accelerate business growth by providing timely leases for specialized food producers. Learn more about the VEAP here.
